Chopper fans have sharpened impeller blades. They cut or tear material as it is drawn through the blower. Chopper fans are required for continuous trim that is easily torn and for discontinuous strands and loose pieces of material that need to be reduced in size. Ideal applications include paperboard, floor mat trim and scrap aluminum, among hundreds of others.
PAC chopper fans may be customized with non-stick coatings, corrosion-resistant materials and sound attenuation devices.
