Baghouses/Filters

Automatic Blast Gates
Blast gates are used to focus a dust collection system's vacuum for maximum extraction at the desired location. Blast gates are positioned at individual pieces of machinery. When one blast gate is opened, all available suction is focused at that location, maximizing the amount of material collected.
Cyclones
Centrifugal collectors use cyclonic action to separate dust particles from the gas stream. In a typical cyclone, the dust gas stream enters at an angle and is spun rapidly. The centrifugal force created by the circular flow throws the dust particles outward to the wall of the cyclone. Cyclonic action spins these particles down and out of cyclone tail pipe.
Types include single-cyclone and multi-cyclone separators.
Ductwork/Piping
Ducts are used to supply and/or exhaust air in wood related applications. A duct system is custom designed, fabricated and installed for specific applications. Ducts are fabricated of galvanized, stainless steel or hot rolled sheet metal.
Connection joints are installed using angle flanged and/or the recently introduced leaver lock clamps.
Hogs/Chippers
Chipper shredders, grinders and hogs are used for waste size reduction.
Plenums
Plenums provide trouble free extraction of very large quantities of dust and chips with unlimited volumes of extracted air. Normally suspended from a ceiling, the plenum allows for easy expansion and reconfiguring.

TRM Filters
Developed in 1991 by Air Craftsmen, Inc., with its low noise - low horsepower and large filtering capacity, we call it the “Biggest Little Filter on the Market.” The filter is available in various modules depending on air volume requirements. Unit may be supplied with or without exhaust blower and motor. Waste is deposited in heavy-duty plastic bags (2 per section) for easy disposal. Waste container bags may be reused. Balers
Balers are typically used to compact waste material such as paper, plastic, corrugated and aluminum. Balers are made with hydraulic rams to compress the material. Balers range from simple, closed-door manual tie to complex, highly automated units. Balers are used in facilities generating volumes of waste requiring proper disposal. Baled waste is typically sold to recycling companies.

Compactor
A compactor is used to reduce the size of waste material through compaction. Powered by hydraulics, compactors take many shapes and sizes. Compactors are hydraulically powered with sliding rams, which sweep the collection hopper and deposit material into a waste holding tank.
Chopper Fans/Trim Cutters
Chopper fans have sharpened impeller blades. They cut or tear material as it is drawn through the blower. Chopper fans are required for continuous trim that is easily torn and for discontinuous strands and loose pieces of material that need to be reduced in size. Ideal applications include paperboard, floor mat trim and scrap aluminum, among hundreds of others.
PAC chopper fans may be customized with non-stick coatings, corrosion-resistant materials and sound attenuation devices.
